y’saq’s life started a little differently than one might expect. born to the nunh of the tribe before the man disappeared under mysterious circumstances, he lived much of his youth as a girl. however from a young age his view of the two nunhs that oversaw the tribe were a bit soured. he acted out on purpose, starting fights and being deliberately antagonistic to attempt and keep their attention off of him at the first mention that he would be expected to have children one day. the idea bothered him for a young age and it was at thirteen years old when one of the nunhs made a few too many comments regarding what lay in store once he was an adult in the tribe, he disappeared into nearest forest for some four years.he was assumed dead, so when some tribeless tia calling himself saq reappeared, nobody was any the wiser. four years in the wilderness (and if he’s to be believe, training with some reclusive beast tribe) had changed him and made his physique much more strong and he’d taken to wearing a crudely fashioned binder. none was any the wiser--even up to the point at which he punched out the teeth of the nunh who had driven him away four years prior. this landed him as one of the two nunhs for exactly two days--because after that point he was outed by one of the women he took to bed and exiled for deception.

notably, he kept the name-title upon his departure for it was something he had earned and felt a great pride in. for a while he drifted and wandered and followed the winds until he ended up in ul’dah, applying his skills as a fighter to fighting rings, both legal and illegal. happenstance reunited him with the father he had never known while also pairing him with a partner who left him scorned. the two happened near enough together that father and son set out north shortly after the end of the dragonsong war, lending their aid to ishgard’s rebuilding initiative. saq had, after all, picked up a skill here or there other than punching.it was in ishgard that saq, armed with a gun, felled a dragon that was aggressing a supply wagon. for such selfless service to the city of ishgard, y’saq became one of the first non-ishgardians to serve as a temple knight. while that is the current focus of his life--he’s not too far from gridania to help his father around the tavern when he’s needed.

● from time to time everyone needs a little help--maybe he's lending someone a hand, or even vice versa. it could be something as simple as helping move product, guarding a caravan, or any number of things--he doesn't think himself too important to serve the people of ishgard as is fit. or maybe he needs an extra blade or two to deal with a problem and someone fits the bill!● sometimes, it really is as simple as happening to be in the same place at the same time, a restuarunt or a bar or even being coworkers. y'saq is a sociable fellow, never too good to have a conversation with anyone, and he's generally well liked. generally! no one can be universally liked, after all.

● saq spent a good amount of time in the fight pits in ul’dah, both sanctioned and unsanctioned. maybe someone remembers him from there, either having been an opponent or a supporter, and recognizes him out and about. while he doesn’t do that as much any more, he could be convinced to go back--perhaps.● after a rough relationship, saq spent a lot of time helping in the effort to rebuild ishgard, laboring in the firmament was a good way to stay both productive and occupied. of course during this time he made plenty of connections and even now that he’s technically a temple knight, he considers himself on good terms with most everyone.● sadly, not all of the residents of ishgard look fondly upon his presence amongst the temple knights. there are a lot of rumors, a lot of comments made about him behind his back, but there are some that feel like greater diversity among the knights is a good thing. most people fall in one of those camps--where would you be?

● please be aware that y'saq is a non-op trans man and if that is a problem for you, please move on! i do not tolerate any sort of out of character bigotry, and in-character bigotry is subject to mutual comfort levels. please respect if i lay a boundary regarding that.● i'm okay with mature and even erotic themes with this character, however, purely sexual roleplay is very hit or miss with him. he's not as much of a playboy as he's used to be and like at least a friendship with sexual partners! that say, y'saq is not a 'single-ship' character and may have multiple verses/relationships at a time.● if you initiate roleplay with me, you are consenting that you are at or above 18. i do not roleplay with minors, and i would prefer not to interact with underage characters.
